SKYJACK: The Hunt for D. B. Cooper Book Review

I read this one awhile back but just haven't gotten around to reviewing it. I'd say 4 out of 5 stars. Very entertaining IMO. There were a lot of bad reviews on Amazon but I think those were mainly the die hard DBC fans. Most of which know every little detail of the case and what happened to a tee. It kept my attention from cover to cover so I don't think I could give it lower that a 4. I got it for free from someone else.

The Hunger Games Book Review

This book was a Christmas gift. I laughed when I read the back of it. My first impression was that I wouldn't like it in the least. I looked up the reviews and found out that it had an enormous amount of positive feedback. It's a bizarre story but very entertaining. I give it 4 out of five stars. Not 5 because I'm not a big fan of trilogies but more for the way the story is set in the future and not one advanced weapon is mention or used. Not one gun or taser. Not that it needed them but it's just that they had all this other futuristic stuff but had to resort to using knives and bow and arrows to fight. So that was a bit unbelievable for me but after I got over that everything else was fine. Oh and the author went into great detail (too much) about how the main character was dressed which lost me every time.
The story centers around children (over 12), most being randomly chosen by lottery, who fight to the death in "The Hunger Games" as a penalty for a past rebellion against the ruling Capitol.
Seems as though there is a movie coming out for it in march:
